Michael K. Ladak
ABOUT OUR FIRM
Michael Ladak founded Ladak Law with the sole purpose of setting individuals up for attaining their driving privileges. Michael worked for the Secretary of State for numerous years having handled various types of cases, from simple to complex, beginning at the Administrative Hearings location in Joliet and then officially being stationed at the Chicago location. He was entrusted with being a Hearing Representative for the Secretary, or a prosecutor of sorts, in difficult and convoluted cases or when delicate matters arose. Eventually Michael was assigned to overseeing all cases involving the denial, suspension and revocation of dealership licenses.
Notably, Michael was also a Hearing Officer on cases involving individuals whose driving privileges had been revoked. This meant that he weighed testimony and evidence in official formal proceedings and ultimately recommended whether a person should be granted or denied driving relief.
Prior to working at the Secretary of State, Michael gained valuable and challenging experience as a criminal defense attorney under the mentorship of a retired Cook County Judge. Therefore he handled a heavy docket of clients in cases ranging from misdemeanors to murders, which strengthened his skills in organizing and working up all aspects of cases and honing his creative thinking skills in reaching desired results. Michael received his juris doctor from DePaul University College of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
